In every German city, there is a place where you can feel at home: the zone. It is a closed human culture in the heart of modern urbanity of our time. A bench in a shopping street is the center of the blessed shopping fatigue.

The project
Only the Rhine separates the German city Mannheim from the young industrial city of Ludwigshafen 24 photographers of the two agencies of VISUM and LAIF spent a day with the two cities of Mannheim and Ludwigshafen and its people, public plazas and parks, the Rhine promenade, the Industrial aesthetics in Ludwigshafen, the Mannheim national theatre and much more. The result is a double portrait of two cities from the subjective perspective of the photographers of who have put their own characters. This visual bridge between the two cities will be exhibited during the 7th Internationale Fototage.
7th International photo days Mannheim
For the 7th International photo days in Mannheim a book to the Brückenprojekt is published. The full 128 page book presents more than 150 photographs of 24 photographers: Bernd Arnold, Christian O.
