A visit in Munich
A visit of Pope Benedict XVI. (Josef Ratzinger) in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
The Pope arrived at Munich Airport "Franz Josef Strauß" on 9 September 2006 and was greeted by the German President Horst Köhler.
The Sunday service took place the next day in Munich-Riem with around 250,000 people in attendance. In the afternoon, he travelled to the Liebfrauenkirche in the city centre.
